BSS CFB Rankings - Week 9

Have I ever told you guys how much I love college football?  And this week is the reason why, as we had another shakeup in the rankings.

1.     LSU:

Yes, these tigers from Baton Rouge, LA, are your new #1 team in the country and in the BSS CFB Rankings.  After a very tough win against Auburn, the Tigers jump past Clemson and ‘Bama and take ahold of the top spot.  Though LSU is on a bye week this week before their big game against the Tide, they need to just stay on this path if they want their spot in the CFB Playoffs, because as this season goes anything can happen.

2.     ALABAMA:

LSU Tigers gear at‘Bama is still not slowing down, and with a very dominant victory over Arkansas they keep themselves in the mix for being a member of our top four.  But with a very well placed bye week this week before their big game against LSU.  It's Going to shape that 11/9 matchup as the biggest must-see college football game in a very long time.

3.     CLEMSON:

With another very dominant win against Boston College, it keeps the Tigers undefeated and allows them to still be a top four team in our rankings.  But with a very tough matchup against Wofford this week (sarcasm), Clemson might be on upset alert.

4.     OHIO STATE:

I was wrong - the Buckeyes are the best team in the Big Ten, with a very dominant win against my Big Ten title favorites Wisconsin.  They proved me wrong and deserve to be in the BSS top four.  But with a game against Penn State 11/23 and Michigan 11/30 on the horizon anything can happen.

Teams To Watch:

The Nittany Lions become the brand new team to watch as they are still undefeated with some very big wins against some tough opponents.  They have become a new favorite to dethrone Ohio State for the Big Ten Throne and a shot at the CFB Playoffs.  But going against undefeated Minnesota this week and Ohio State on 11/23, I recommend these Nittany Lions don't listen to all of the noise and just do what they’ve been doing.

Yes, both of these teams are here because they face each other this week, and whoever wins will unofficially place themselves in the SEC Title Game and keep their playoff hopes alive.

With the Sooners losing to Kansas State in upset fashion, and the Bears still undefeated, this allows then to be placed as one of our teams to watch.  But with Oklahoma still on their (11/16), and how this season has been, anything can happen.
