Another week is in the books, and the playoff picture is still anyone's to earn.  Here now is the Boston Sports Syndicate College Football Week 12 Rankings.

The Tigers stand pat as the pound-for-pound #1 College Football team in the BSS rankings.  The Tigers’ very dominant win against Ole Miss keeps them as the Top Team and, with matchup against Arkansas and Texas A&M still to go, and a potential matchup with Georgia in the SEC Title Game to end out the season, gives LSU a very high chance of punching their ticket to be one of the CFP four.

With a demolishing victory over Wake Forest it keeps these Tigers as one of the shoe-in CFP top 4 teams.  But with having a very beneficial schedule, and being the defending champions, they are still in danger of being left out if they fall in any of their remaining games.

3.     OHIO STATE:

By still being undefeated after a very one-sided win against Rutgers, the Buckeyes stay as #3 team in our ranking.  With a big game against Penn State on deck for this week and their big rivalry matchup with Michigan 11/30, and a potential Big Ten Championship matchup with either Minnesota or Wisconsin on the Horizon, anything can happen that can spoil their playoffs hope.

4.     OKLAHOMA:

The Sooners are back on the wagon as being the team to beat in the Big XII, and a come from behind win against Baylor helps place them as the #4 team in the BSS rankings.  With that win it also increases the resume as a team to earn a spot as a CFP 4 team.

Teams To Watch:

It’s the same as last week for the Rolling Tide and Bulldogs.  They are both a one loss SEC teams who can put their name in as being a CFP team.  With ‘Bama still having their matchup with Auburn 11/30, they need a lot of help from LSU’s remaining opponents to punch their ticket in the SEC title game.  For the Bulldogs, though, their chances are a lot better for a guaranteed spot in the playoff.  They just need to win out and then win the SEC Title Game to be a CFP 4 team.

The Nittany Lions and Golden Gophers are still a teams to watch in the Big Ten.  With a big matchup against Ohio State on deck for this week for the Nittany Lions, the outcome of the game can potentially crown who is representing the east in the Big Ten Championship.  And for the Gophers, if they can win out for the rest of the season then win the Big Ten Title, then their resume this season basically writes itself as why they will earn a CFP 4 spot.

The Auburn loss is the only blemish the Ducks have for their chance on being one of the final four in the playoffs.  But if they win out and win the Pac 12, and also get help from Auburn with wins over Georgia and Alabama, and then Clemson or Oklahoma both suffering a loss, then Oregon can earn their spot as a CFP 4.
