Week 10: Get 'Em In, Get 'Em Out

SHARE:

Week 10 already.  My word, does the NFL season fly by.  By now you are jockeying for a playoff position and its nut-cutting time.  Time to nail that waiver wire and nail your lineup or you will be on the outside looking in, in just a mere four weeks.  So read up so you can know the players to Get In, and Get Out.  Week 10, let's roll.

Los Angeles Chargers @ Oakland Raiders

  • Get 'Em In
    • Mike Williams - Mike Williams is supposed to be a redzone angel sent from the heavens, but he is yet to find pay dirt all year long.  He has been trending in the right direction in recent weeks and surpassed the century mark Sunday against Green Bay.  The endzone should be close behind.  He will get one of his best chances all season Thursday night against the Raiders secondary that has gotten carved up week after week.  Roll with Williams this week as a WR3/Flex and hope he finally hits big.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Tyrell Williams - Tyrell was someone that was thought to be a big time playmaker a week ago against a bad Detroit secondary, and he grossly disappointed.  Williams hauled in three catches for 48 yards and no touchdowns.  Things shouldn't get any easier Thursday as he faces the Chargers who just shut down Aaron Rodgers and his entire wide receiving core.

Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals

  • Get 'Em In
    • Baltimore Ravens Defense - The Ravens just stymied the Patriots offense Sunday night and should not have any sort of let down after the big win.  They get to face a winless Bengals team marching out rookie Ryan Finley for his first career start.  The Ravens have a chance to be a top defense this week.  The Bengals offensive line is bad and Finley should have pressure in his face all game long, leading to a laundry list of mistakes.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Joe Mixon - There is not a snowball's chance in hell the Ravens will let Mixon have any success against them.  They should stack the box and force the game to be carried on the arm of rookie Ryan Finley.  Also, back in Week 6 Mixon totaled five fantasy points against the Ravens, when he rushed eight times for a whopping total of ten yards.

Buffalo Bills @ Cleveland Browns

  •  Get 'Em In
    • Devin Singletary - After his performance last week, and his next two matchups, Singletary is currently a must start.  He carved up the Redskins defense last week for almost one hundred yards and found the endzone.  This week he gets the Browns bottom 10 rush defense that is giving up more than 110 rush yards a game.  Then the week after that?  Miami.  GET EM IN!
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Odell Beckham Jr - Per usual, you're not benching your horses.  But Beckham has been a bust, just like the entire Browns team has been.  Beckham will have Tre'Davious White on his hip all game, and with the erratic play Mayfield has shown us, Beckham will be lucky to catch a handful of balls.  Proceed with caution.

Detroit Lions @ Chicago Bears

  • Get 'Em In
    • David Montgomery - Montgomery has now piled up back to back strong performances as the Bears make the running game a focal point.  He should be able to keep the good times rolling against a Lions team that currently sports the worst run defense in the league.  Continue to use Montgomery as a strong RB2.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Marvin Jones - Marvin Jones has this one week good, one week bad thing going on.  After the Lions Week 5 bye he has gone 3 points, 43, 6, 26.  If that trend continues he should be looking at another clunker this week against Chicago.  Chicago's defense has proven to be beatable, but they are still a formidable bunch, and when you play defenses of that nature you tend to focus on your studs.  In this case it's Golladay.  I think Jones has a quiet game in Week 10.

New York Giants @ New York Jets

  • Get 'Em In
    • Jamison Crowder - Crowder continues to be the only consistent person on this team, and even him I am using consistent loosely.  But one thing is clear, and that is he is Darnold's number one target.  Crowder got in the end zone last week and posted 22 fantasy points against the putrid Dolphins, but things stay easy with the equally putrid Giants secondary.  Crowder should have another successful week.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Robby Anderson - Last week against the Dolphins I was in on Anderson and he still could not perform.  If you can't post lofty numbers against Miami, you're officially on my bad list and there is no getting off.  The only other list Anderson should be on is the waiver list in your league.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Tennessee Titans

  • Get 'Em In
    • Derrick Henry - You run against the Chiefs.  That's just what you do.  RB2 folks.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Jonnu Smith - See above as to what the Titan's game plan will be.  That and everyone ran to the waiver wire last week to grab Smith and he rewarded you with a measly three catches for 18 yards.  Delanie Walker may be back in some capacity this weekend too, which only hurts Smith more.  Not worth the risk unless you're desperate at the position.  But hell, we all are!

Arizona Cardinals @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • Get 'Em In
    • Jameis Winston - UGH.  I hate this.  I hate this SO MUCH.  However, the Cardinals stink, and Jameis is coming of fantasy performances of 27 and 24 points.  He SHOULD be a safe start, but that's been said before and he ends up throwing five picks.  Get Winston in this week, but I swear, if he lays an egg, I will never speak of him again on here.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Kenyan Drake - Okay, I blew it last week with telling you to bench Drake.  I will own that.  But who saw that coming?  110 yards and a score?  Really.  Well, this week it appears David Johnson will be back for the Cardinals and its a real tough matchup.  Not sure many people realize this, but the Buccaneers have been a top 5 run defense all year.  This is a game that will be fought through the air.

Atlanta Falcons @ New Orleans Saints

  • Get 'Em In
    • Julio Jones - Julio Jones is back on one of his touchdown-less streaks where he has not crossed the goal line since Week 3.  However, in the last 3 weeks, even without scoring, and Matt Schaub as his quarterback for one of those games,  he has still posted outputs of 18, 15, and 25.  Matt Ryan should be back, and if Julio is getting this kind of yardage, when he finally hits the endzone it's going to be a spectacular day.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Austin Hooper - Listen, I know you're playing Hooper this week because, hell, you have to.  The tight end position is so brutal this year and Hooper has been a bright spot.  But the Saints have been stingy against tight ends all year and only have allowed one touchdown all season to one.  Be wary of what you may get out of Hooper this week.

Miami Dolphins @ Indianapolis Colts

  • Get 'Em In
    • Zach Pascal-  Marlon Mack would be the easy answer as on paper this matchup looks fantastic.  But it does for others too.  Last week, with the majority of the game being handled by Brian Hoyer, against a much better opponent, Zach Pascal played great.  Pascal caught five passes for 76 yards and a touchdown.  Against Miami, those exact numbers are well within reach again.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Ryan Fitzpatrick - I took Fitzpatrick and his cheap price all over DFS contests last Sunday, and what a massive payoff that was.  That was clearly more of an investment in his opponent (the Jets) than it was in him though.  That was a one week wonder of Fitzmagic and he should have a tougher time this week versus the Colts, who have only allowed two quarterbacks to throw for more than 300 yards, and that was way back in Weeks 1 and 3.

Los Angeles Rams @ Pittsburgh Steelers

  • Get 'Em In
    • LA Rams Defense - At some point this Rams defense needs to show up, considering the amount of big names they have.  I will ride them again this week against the Steelers, who may be without James Connor again, and a below average Mason Rudolph throwing the ball.  Some sacks and a couple of turnovers should be a solid floor for them this week with a higher ceiling.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Robert Woods - Every single week that goes by since the Steelers acquired Minkah Fitzpatrick they have gotten better.  Fitzpatrick has been a ball hawk and took one to the house last week.  With him roaming the secondary the Rams would be wise to stay underneath and let Cooper Kupp do his thing, which I fully expect them to do.  Woods should be riding second fiddle once again.

Carolina Panthers @ Green Bay Packers

    • Christian McCaffrey - He is the offense.  There is nobody else that plays offense in Carolina.  Seriously.  Watch close.  He hikes it to himself, then takes it to the house for a 60 yard touchdown.  Sure seems that way to me.
  •  Get 'Em Out
    • Joey Slye - Slye has been one of the most consistent kickers all year, but has started to slow of late as the Panthers' offense slows.  As good as he has been when he has gotten chances, he has not kicked in Green Bay.  Early forecast is cold, windy, and a chance of some snow showers.  Don't love that when it comes to the world of kickers.

Minnesota Vikings @ Dallas Cowboys

  • Get 'Em In
    • Dak Prescott - You can feel good about playing Dak Prescott this week.  Dak has been money at home, and the Vikings defense has actually been suspect through the air, as they have allowed big games to Carson Wentz, Matt Stafford, and even the Matt Moore led Chiefs last week.  Dak should be safe for around 250 and two scores.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Kirk Cousins - Historically against Dallas (granted it was his Redskins' days) Cousins has been awful to the tune of something like 1-12 against them.  Cousins is also historically terrible against winning teams and tends to struggle in the spotlight.  Sunday Night Football.  Dallas Cowboys.  Not a much bigger spot light than that.  Don't trust Cousins this week against a Dallas pass rush that is catching fire.

Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers

  • Get 'Em In
    • Jimmy Garoppolo - Let's go with Jimmy G this week.  Seattle continues to win in SPITE of their defense.  Their secondary has had a tough go of it, evident by allowing the Buccaneers to drop 34 on them a week ago.  The biggest standout from that is turnover machine Jameis Winston didn't throw a single pick.  A little alarming for Seattle.  With the Niners pretty good run game, Jimmy G should find success off the play action, especially with new toy Emmanuel Sanders.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • DK Metcalf -Metcalf has had quite the successful rookie season, especially when you consider he started the year hurt, and was slighted because of his apparent poor route running skills.  Metcalf has put all that talk aside and is arguably the top dog for Rookie of the Year.  This week, however, poses his toughest match-up to date against the undefeated Niners.  Seattle will find some sort of success against them, but I think the majority of that will be on the ground and with Tyler Lockett.  Shy away from the big rookie wideout this week.
