Week 11: Get 'Em In, Get 'Em Out

SHARE:

The weeks left in the season continue to fade as we reach Week 11's slate of games.  Week 11 presents four teams on a bye, two of which being Seattle and Green Bay, which will leave a lot of good players on the sidelines.  Read up to find replacements and know who to get in, and get out this weekend.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cleveland Browns

  • Get 'Em In
    • Nick Chubb - Nick Chubb has been the only consistent fantasy performer in Cleveland this year.  How consistent?  In each of the last four games he has received exactly 20 touches.  The last being with Kareem Hunt in the fold, so it's reassuring to see he did not make any significant cut into Chubb's playing time.  Thursday night presents the Steelers defense, who is a top 10 unit against the run, but a short week where the run game will probably be the focal point of the game plan, and knowing the volume is there, you need to keep marching Chubb out there.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Baker Mayfield - Against a really good Bills defense Mayfield pulled out his second best fantasy output of the year, but that was still only good for 21 fantasy points.  Now he he has had three days to prepare for the Steelers, who have become an absolute problem against the pass since Minkah Fitzpatrick arrived in the Steel City.  Fade Mayfield in Week 11.

Atlanta Falcons @ Carolina Panthers

  • Get 'Em In
    • Kyle Allen - As mentioned in my intro, the Packers and Seahawks both sit idle this week, which makes Kyle Allen a very good fill-in if you happen to roster Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson.  Yes, last week the Falcons played their best game of the year, shutting down the Saints, but the larger sample size still proves them to be a really bad team, specifically defensely.  Kyle Allen should be good enough for 250 and two scores, which is all you can ask for with a bye week fill-in.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Luke Stocker - Austin Hooper is now out for at least a month, which is a terrible blow to a fantasy starved position.  With the desperation some may show to find production there, they will jump to the next man up, who is Luke Stocker.  The most catches Stocker has ever had in an entire year, not a game, but a year, is 16.  Ryan will look to Julio and Ridley to fill Hooper's void, not Stocker.
Dallas Cowboys @ Detroit Lions

  •  Get 'Em In
    • Dak Prescott - Prescott is white hot right now, coming off a 397/3 touchdown performance against what we thought was a good Vikings defense.  Now he gets the much worse Lions defense and Dallas is desperate for a win.  Prescott has that IT factor and he will have it on display Sunday again in Motown.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Ty Johnson - Remember when I dogged on you all who ran to the waiver wire to grab Johnson when Kerryon went down?  Hate to say I told you so.  Who am I kidding?  I love to tell you that.  He has a total of 19 points through four weeks.  Oh, and now he's hurt.  That's that.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Indianapolis Colts

  • Get 'Em In
    • Nick Foles - Foles is an okay play this week on one condition.  You have Rodgers or Wilson and they are on their byes.  Foles should be okay to play in that situation because you're trying to just survive the week.  Temper expectations as its his first game back since Week 1 though.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Zach Pascal - Pascal laid an egg last week against the lowly Dolphins, which leaves little hope for a rebound this week.  Even post-Ramsey trade, the Jaguars still offer resistance against opponents and Pascal probably has an afternoon of A.J. Bouye to look forward to.  Couple that with either Brian Hoyer or a less than 100 percent Jacoby Brissett, and it does not look like a recipe for success.

Buffalo Bills @ Miami Dolphins

  • Get 'Em In
    • Josh Allen - There is nothing flashy about Josh Allen, but he is reliable.  In nine games he has played this year, seven of them he has scored at least 20 fantasy points in.  His ability to extend plays with his feet and take off on the ground consistently boosts his fantasy value.  This week presents the Dolphins, where back in Week 7 he had his best performance of the year, posting 25 fantasy points.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Frank Gore - Gore's season has been a tale of two halves.  In the first half of the season Gore averaged 15 runs per game.  Since the Bills' Week 6 bye, he has averaged only nine rushes per game and has scored a total of 13 fantasy points in those games.  Devin Singletary officially has the keys to the car, and he is the running back to ride in Buffalo.

Houston Texans @ Baltimore Ravens

  • Get 'Em In
    • Marquise Brown - I like the idea of rolling Brown out this week as a WR3/Flex with high upside.  The Texans secondary has been a problem all year and last week Brown went four for 80 and a score against a bad Cincinnati secondary.  Well newsflash, Houston's isn't any better.  Find room in your lineup for Brown and hope he earns that Hollywood nickname.

  • Get 'Em Out
    • Mark Ingram - The Texans have not allowed 100 yards on the ground since all the way back in Week 2.  After watching what the Baltimore running attack did to New England two weeks ago, you know that will be the focal point for the Houston defense.  Houston will force this game the best they can to Jackson's arm.

Denver Broncos @ Minnesota Vikings

  • Get 'Em In
    • Courtland Sutton - Apparently we all have been wrong about the Vikings defense as they continue to get torched through the air.  The Vikings are now tied in the league lead with 15 touchdowns allowed to opposing wide receivers.  Enter red zone monster Courtland Sutton.  His first game with Brandon Allen showed no drop off, and with him averaging roughly 8 targets a game, the chance for a big play is there often.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Kirk Cousins - Cousin's has not thrown for over 285 yards since back in Week 7, and that was in the midst of his hot streak against the defensive bottom feeders of the league - the Giants, Eagles, and Lions.  When he has faced formidable opponents, he has been the Kirk Cousins we all know.  The Broncos can still offer a tough test for quarterbacks, but not running backs.  Their run D has been Swiss cheese and Dalvin Cook should eat it up.

New York Jets @ Washington Redskins

  • Get 'Em In
    • Terry McLaurin - I do not love McLaurin nearly as much as I would if Keenum was under center, but SOMEBODY has to be a Get 'Em In.  Rules are rules.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Adrian Peterson/Derrius Guice - Derrius Guice is back from injury once again.  Interim Head Coach Bill Callahan in one breathe says there will be plenty of work for Guice, then in the next he says he will be working behind AP as a change of pace back.  Until we see how this unfolds (and if Guice gets through a game unscathed) you best stay away from the situation all together.

New Orleans Saints @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • Get 'Em In
    • Mike Thomas -  It's been a long week, I'm tired, so I am taking a layup here.  Sue me.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Latavius Murray - Murray's role dropped off more than I anticipated last week with Kamara back in the fold.  That may have been attested to game flow, but still alarming.  Now with Kamara completely healthy and a really good Buccaneers run defense, Murray's days may be be served once again on the Waiver Wire.

Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers

  • Get 'Em In
    • Tevin Coleman - Matt Breida is hurt this time around.  Two weeks ago against Arizona Coleman only rushed 12 times for 23 yards compared to Breida, who had 15 rushes for 78 yards.  Coleman will be the lead back this time around against a soft Cardinals team.  Coleman should have a much improved performance.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Christian Kirk - Last week I took Christian Kirk all over DFS play, and boy did that pay out.  138 yards and three touchdowns.  Unreal payout when considering he had not scored this year.  Clearly over 130 yards and three touchdowns is not sustainable on a week to week basis, but even a pedestrian output may be tough to expect.  The 49ers are a whole other beast compared to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and just two weeks ago against these same Niners, Kirk had two catches for eight yards.  Yuck.
Cincinnati Bengals @ Oakland Raiders

  • Get 'Em In
    • Derek Carr/Josh Jacobs/Tyrell Williams/Darren Waller - AKA, if you have a Raiders skill player, start them.  It is a good matchup across the board.
  •  Get 'Em Out
    • Tyler Eifert - Eifert finally found the endzone last week for the first time since Week 2.  The disappointing part to that is he still only ended the day with 10 fantasy points as he only had two catches.  Even with a new quarterback, one that may be looking for a security blanket, Eifert just does not seem to have that much of a role in the offense.  He is the ultimate boom or bust, and the majority of this season has been bust.

New England Patriots @ Philadelphia Eagles

  • Get 'Em In
    • Tom Brady - Against inferior opponents, Brady can still put up lofty numbers.  Against the Steelers, Dolphins, Jets, and Redskins, Brady posted fantasy days of 31, 28, 24, and 30 respectively.  The Eagles secondary is not good.  That is no secret.  And Bill Belichick is superb out of a bye.  Never bet against Bill and Brady after a week off.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Alshon Jeffery - Alshon, meet Stephon.  Stephon, meet Alshon.

Chicago Bears @ Los Angeles Rams

  • Get 'Em In
    • Los Angeles Rams Defense - The Bears offensive woes are well documented.  Trubisky threw for 173 yards last week and you could consider it a breakout game.  And that was against the Lions.  The Rams defense, meanwhile, has slowly gotten a little better and did make a house call last week.  They should be able to keep the score low this week, and throw in some sacks and a turnover or two.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • David Montgomery - Running straight into the belly of Aaron Donald seems less than ideal, but that is what is on the agenda for Montgomery come Sunday.  The Rams run defense has been a top 10 unit and now I am hearing Montgomery rolled his ankle in practice.  All things are adding up to get Montgomery back onto your bench.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Los Angeles Chargers

  •  Get 'Em In
    • Philip Rivers - I know, I know.  You want to kick Rivers to the curb after his pathetic performance against the Raiders last week.  I do too.  TRUST ME.  But man, the Chiefs secondary is bad.  Ryan Tannehill just carved them up for crying out loud.  And you know the Chiefs are going to score a ton of points forcing the Chargers to try and keep answering.  Give Rivers a second chance.  You probably won't regret it.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Mike Williams - Second chances are at least when the person has a history of doing well.  Williams has not got a single touchdown this year, and he too had the best chance all season last week in Oakland.  And in the end he disappointed yet again.  You just can't risk the dud anymore with Williams, at least I can't.  Push him to the side until he finally consistently shows up.
