1.          LSU:

The Tigers, the pound for pound #1 College Football team in the BSS rankings, are one more game away from reaching the College Football Playoffs.  With the SEC Championship game against Georgia on deck for this week, all eyes will be on Mercedes-Benz Stadium as the winner of the game will definitely be in the CFP and represent the SEC.

2.          OHIO STATE:

With a very dominant win against Michigan, it keeps the Buckeyes in their #2 spot in our ranking.  But with The Big Ten Championship game this week against Wisconsin in a Week 9 rematch where the Buckeyes bested the Badgers 38-7, the Badgers will be driven to spoil the Buckeyes playoff hopes.

3.          CLEMSON:

The undefeated Tigers stay as one of the shoe-in CFP with an impressive win against their rivals South Carolina.  But with a matchup against Virginia this week in the ACC Championship Game they are still in danger if they fall to be left out as their schedule was not beneficial to them this season.

4.          OKLAHOMA:

Oklahoma Sooners gear at Fanatics.comThe Sooners are still riding the wagon as the team to beat in the Big XII, and with a very dominant win against Oklahoma State it keeps them in play as the #4 team in the BSS rankings.  But with a matchup with Baylor in the Big XII title game on slate for this week, the Sooners are in danger if they fall to be left out of the playoffs.

Teams To Watch:

The Bulldogs kept their playoff hopes alive with a very dominant win against Georgia Tech.  And now with a matchup against #1 LSU in the SEC Title Game they have a shot to upset LSU and take a spot in the CFP.  With an unofficial home game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium all eyes will be on Georgia.

This week the Bears are in a pivotal game for the Big XII Championship against Oklahoma in a rematch from week 12 where the Bears blew a 21 point lead at half time.  The winner of the game will increase the resume that the Big XII deserve an representation in the playoffs.

The Utes have made the list by making waves in the College Football landscape with only one loss to USC early in the season.  They have earned a spot as a team to watch.  But with only a game against Oregon left on their trail to the Pac 12 Championship, and a shot on taking a spot CFP for the Rolling Tide.  This weekend will be a must see weekend for college football.
