Brady Bought Property in Las Vegas?

In the closing moments of the fourth quarter in a snowy and cold Foxboro Stadium, the Patriots were trailing the Raiders by three points.  Tom Brady would step back to pass, he starts to throw, stopped and then cornerback Charles Woodson would knock the ball out of the hands of Brady.  The Raiders linebacker, Greg Biekert, would fall onto the ball and the Raiders would end the Cinderella season in 2001.

But… after instant replay, the referee for the game Walt Coleman reversed the call on the field and the Patriots dream season continued.  The call would be an incomplete forward pass and Vinatieri would tie the game and later win it in overtime.

The “Tuck Rule” ended the Raiders season and began the lore and legacy of Tom Brady.  Imagine now if the team that he was playing helped started it all, Brady would go on to finish his career with?

The Las Vegas Raiders are a real threat in the Tom Brady free agency sweepstakes.  Imagine what Brady would look like in the Silver and Black?

Brady attended UFC 246 in Las Vegas for the Conor McGregor and Cowboy Cerrone fight.  At the fight, Brady was spotted and pictured talking with Raiders owner Mark Davis.

Brady will enter free agency for the first time in his legendary career in March.  The conversation with Davis could be considered extremely notable, but there are some complications with that.  If Brady and Davis talked about a scenario where TB12 would wear the silver and black, it would violate the NFL tampering rules regarding free agents.

Big Savings for Big Fans at Fanatics.comSo, was it just two people exchanging pleasantries?  Did Brady have a quick stop and chat with Davis at the fight?  Odds are it makes sense.

UFC president Dana White was among those who see a future for Brady with the new Las Vegas Raiders.  "If that dude is not playing in Boston, he's playing here" said White.

I think that Brady to the Raiders is a real possibility.  The Raiders have a quarterback right now in Derek Carr.  However, the Raiders can release Carr and he would only account for a $5 million dollar cap hit.

Carr has said he is “looking forward” to being under center for the Raiders for the remainder of his contract.  Raiders head coach Jon Gruden hasn’t exactly given Carr a glowing endorsement following the team’s regular season finale this past season.

Let’s be honest, if Gruden can get the greatest quarterback in the history of the game, he would dump Carr and dump him yesterday to bring Brady into the fold.

The Athletic’s Jay Glazer said that Brady to the Raiders is a “no-brainer” because it would sell tickets.  The Raiders are moving into their new stadium next season in Las Vegas.  Brady going to Sin City would be the biggest story in the game of football in years.

Glazer would add, "That’s going to be a hot ticket.  The international marketing will be huge.  The Raiders are going to be big players internationally with that.  That’s why I would think it’s a brilliant move to go to Vegas."

On Tuesday, 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Felger and Mazz had professional handicapper Brandon Lang on their show while on Radio Row in Miami.  Lang would go on to tell Felger and Mazz that Brady has inquired on buying property in Las Vegas.  To piggy back on that take, 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Rob “Hardy” Poole reported that Brady has indeed purchased property in Las Vegas.

If Brady leaves for the Raiders, could the Patriots bring Carr to New England in a trade with Mike Mayock and the Raiders?  Carr would be a good replacement for Brady because he is an NFL ready quarterback.  I just wonder if the Patriots would pay the remaining money Carr is owed on his contract.  I’d rather see what Stidham could bring to the table if he truly is ready to step up and replace Brady.  That is a big if to say the least.

All of this Brady chatter on him leaving in free agency could all be positioning by Brady to get what he wants from Robert Kraft and Belichick, between the reports from NESN regarding that Brady wants to bring Amendola to whatever team he potentially goes to in free agency.

Then there’s the report from Gronkowski on what Brady should do in free agency.  “I truly believe that he deserves the opportunity to go explore, to see what’s out there,” Gronkowski said.  “He’s been playing for so long, and just the way that he’s been playing, just the level he’s been playing at, he definitely deserves an opportunity to go out there and test the market.  I mean, why wouldn’t you?  He’s going to be a free agent for the first time ever.  Go test out the market and then do what’s best for himself.  That’s the decision that he has to make, is what’s best for himself, best for his family, what he feels like he’s going to love.”

While the Patriots own the rights to Gronkowski, is it possible that Brady is angling to bring players he’s familiar with in order to win another Super Bowl before the end of his career?

Brady is “open-minded” about his future.  The possibility he could go to Sin City is real.  Brady wearing the silver and black would be the number one selling jersey in the NFL.

The speculation will be running wild for the next two months.  With Las Vegas entering the market for the first time in 2020, the Raiders could throw Brady the money he never has seen with the Patriots, if that is what he covets more than completing his legacy in New England, where he truly belongs.
