Is The Tom Brady Watch Getting Out of Control?

Tom Brady is an icon in the NFL and the G.O.A.T. here in New England.  Brady is arguably the most important athlete in the history of Boston sports and the most important player in Patriots history.  Because of that, Brady’s impending free agency is very important to Patriots fans and it’s the reason there has been so much speculation on where he will go.

I have covered some topics on where Brady could go; we’ve speculated Las Vegas as a real option.  The club is moving to Las Vegas, new stadium and the second professional sports team to go to Sin City.  Brady wearing the silver and black would be a big deal in the NFL and immediately make the Raiders a legitimate threat in the AFC.

It can be annoying from a fans perspective to see all this speculation about Brady.  The passionate diehard fans want to see Brady retire with the team.  The passionate and diehard fans want to see Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft finally pay him what he deserves.

The rumors will be swirling on social media and outlets will want to try to get the scoop to the fan base.  We have six weeks until Brady officially can become a free agent.

I think NFL Network’s Ian Rapport made a great point on the Zolak & Bertrand show on Thursday from radio row in Miami.  “Tom Brady buying houses doesn’t dictate where he’s gonna play next year, because wherever he plays next year, he’s not gonna buy.  He’s gonna rent”

That is a valid and fair point from Rapport.  But again, it’s part of the fun of speculation on what Brady will do.

Over the next six weeks, there will be speculation on whether Vegas is an option.  Will Brady go to Nashville and play for former teammate Mike Vrabel?  Are the Miami Dolphins a viable option and we see Brady vs. Belichick twice a year in the Brady Bowl?

There was another report that came out on Thursday that Brady was in Nashville visiting schools with his son.  Rumors swirled all over social media and piggybacked off the Las Vegas rumor from the previous day about him buying property.

According to NBC Sports Boston, they were able to debunk the Brady rumor and say he was not in Nashville despite the speculation that was reported on radio shows and on social media.

Brady isn’t exactly helping to fan the flames on the speculation.  On Thursday night he tweeted a cryptic black and white picture of himself in a tunnel of a stadium looking onto the field.  One can speculate that field he is looking at is Gillette Stadium in Foxboro.

As every fan and media member begins to dissect this tweet, everyone should understand it probably means nothing.  Brady has sent weird and cryptic tweets in the past.  I highly doubt that Brady has made a decision on where he is going to play in 2020.

Unless he already knows that, the New England Patriots have decided to move on and this tweet is him looking out at Gillette Stadium one last time?

See what I did there?
