Cam Newton Putting In the Work With His New WRs

Cam Newton is already hard at work learning the Patriots' offense and getting to know his receivers.  Newton, who officially became a member of the Patriots on Wednesday, has been seen on Twitter throwing the pigskin with receiver Mohammad Sanu and now today with second-year wide out N'Keal Harry.

Harry and Newton took to the field in LA to run routes and catch passes from the former NFL MVP.  The video in the tweet shows the two meeting for the first time as teammates.  They ran some routes together and later were joined by Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr.

Harry has been working hard to get into shape and be ready for this upcoming season.  His rookie season in Foxboro was plagued with a ankle injury that saw him miss most of the season.  Harry caught 12 balls last season for 105 yards and had two touchdowns.  The numbers were very underwhelming for the former first-round pick, but the potential is there and with Newton already taking snaps with Harry, this QB-WR tandem could be dangerous in the AFC.

Harry will now benefit from a full year in head coach Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniel's system. He looks excited to get to work with Newton and get on the same page, something Harry and Brady struggled to do last season. Harry's injury resulted in a lot of lost time with Brady to allow them both to get on the same page.

Newton and Sanu have already linked up and worked out this offseason.  Both players looked good in their videos that can be seen online.  The two hooked up for a practice almost instantly after it was announced Newton would be bringing his talents to Gillette Stadium this season.  According to Evan Lazar of CLNS Media, the two began to FaceTime chat how excited they both were to be on the same team and to get a workout session going.

The two put out a hype video which can be seen below of the workout and the chemistry seems to be there for both players.  This season will be an interesting one for the Patriots as they go into their first year as an organization without Tom Brady since the early-2000's.  Newton seems focused, committed and motivated to get work done in New England.

How long before we get to see the Newton and Julian Edelman video hit social media?  It's a video Patriots fans are absolutely chomping at the bits for right now.
