One Player, Each Team - AFC North Edition

SHARE:

Welcome back to the One Player, Each Team series as we tackle one player from each team you should target in your fantasy drafts.  Today we head to the AFC North to highlight four players that should be on your draft radar for a variety of reasons.

AFC North

Baltimore Ravens - Marquise "Hollywood" Brown

Marquise Brown endured an up and down rookie year that saw him finish with a respectable line of seven touchdowns and just shy of 600 yards.  He missed a few games because of injury and finished the season very quietly with only one double digit fantasy output in the last fives games.  Now in year two, Brown has added 15 pounds of muscle to go with his game breaking speed and had a fully healthy offseason.  Brown has a very real chance to break out in year 2 with his MVP quarterback at the helm.  With a current ADP of almost the seventh round, Brown would make for a strong WR2, and an amazing WR3.

Cincinnati Bengals - Joe Mixon

Joe Mixon was the sexy breakout pick last year in the fantasy world, but a putrid start to the season stopped all that hype dead in its tracks.  However, Mixon finished off the second half of the season as many people had hoped he would start it, scoring double digit fantasy outputs seven of the last nine games, with 27 points in Week 14, which just happened to be the first round of the fantasy playoffs.  Now with Joe Burrow at the helm, and currently a healthy AJ Green, Tyler Boyd, and John Ross, and rookie Tee Higgins, all the focus does not need to be on Mixon anymore.  Mixon's floor after two seasons is around 1400 total yards and eight touchdowns.  His ceiling can be close to 2,000 total yards and 15 touchdowns.  Mixon is currently going off the board in the mid-to-late second round, exactly where he should be going.  So be ready if you pick anywhere from the 15th-20th spot.

Cleveland Browns - Kareem Hunt

Okay. Hear me out.  No, I am not telling you to NOT draft Nick Chubb.  Like I said in my first article in the series, every player has a price.  Just do not overpay that price.  Nick Chubb currently has an ADP of about 16.  With a former rushing champion behind Chubb in Kareem Hunt, there is the constant fear of Chubb never being the bell cow he deserves to be.  Last year once Hunt returned, Hunt actually outscored Chubb in fantasy points FIVE TIMES in the final eight weeks.  Not to mention, Hunt catches far more balls than Chubb.  In 17 weeks, Chubb caught 36 passes.  In only eight weeks Hunt caught 37 passes!  Hunt is so appealing because of his seventh round draft price, and absurdly appealing in PPR leagues.  Remember, know each and every player, and their respective price.

Pittsburgh Steelers - Ben Roethlisberger

Maybe I'm a sucker, but I do believe Big Ben is healthy and has one last hoorah left in him.  Just a mere two years ago, Ben threw for over 5,000 yards.  And yes, I know a lot of that was with Antonio Brown on the roster, but Big Ben's weapons now are nothing to sneeze at.  A healthy JuJu and a healthy James Connor out of the backfield, to go with two up and coming wideouts in James Washington and Diontae Johnson and a more than respectable tight end with Eric Ebron.  He will be able to spread the ball around, and as long as that elbow is as healthy as he and everyone is saying it is, a 4,000 yard, 30 touchdown campaign can be easily attainable.  Now comes the wait and draft a quarterback late point I always make.  You currently can get Big Ben in the twelfth round.  Do you know what kind of roster you can make of 11 other guys, just to get 4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns with your 12 pick?  A fantasy championship winning roster.  That's the kind.

Be on the lookout for the AFC South coming out next.
