Weel 7: Get 'Em In, Get 'Em Out

SHARE:

Week 7, in bulk, no postponements or reschedules.  Football.  Lets go.

New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles

  • Get 'Em In
    • Boston Scott -  Miles Sanders is out with a knee injury, welcoming Boston Scott back into the starting lineup.  Scott had the starter roll earlier in the year also, back in Week 1 where he only rushed nine times for 35 yards.  Scott is nothing to write home about and the Giants run defense is better than the casual fan thinks.  They are allowing the eighth fewest rushing yards per game.  However, I feel that number is because of how easily teams can throw on New York instead.  That may not be the case tonight with the Eagles still being without Alshon Jeffery and now also down Zack Ertz.  Short week and weak pass catchers, may have Philadelphia rely on the run more.  Hopefully Scott can put out a modest effort and get across the goal line too to make it a worthwhile fantasy start.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Devonte Freeman - Freeman has actually been quite decent since being picked up off the scrap heap by the Giants earlier in the year.  His carries have gone up every week from five, to 11, to 17, to 18.  He has only found the endzone once though and is averaging a pedestrian 3.2 yards a carry.  Tonight presents the Eagles Top 10 rush defense that will be going up against a porous Giants offensive line.  Advantage Eagles.  Shy away from Freeman this evening.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Tennessee Titans

  • Get 'Em In
    • Ben Roethlisberger - Big Ben had scored at least 23 fantasy points a week until last week's dud.  Ben only managed 12 fantasy points against Cleveland which, on paper, was a great matchup.  However, game script kind of took the game out of Ben's hands as they blew the Browns out.  This week should be a much closer game in what may be the game of the week with both teams coming into the matchup undefeated.  The Titans have stayed undefeated despite that bottom of the barrel pass defense that currently ranks 28th.  Ben should have no issues throwing against the Titans and should hit that 23 point floor again.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Jonnu Smith - Smith has both an ankle injury he is tending too, and a daunting matchup against the Steelers.  Smith looks like he will be able to play Sunday, but will be playing hurt, and the Steelers defense remains strong against tight ends as they currently rank seventh against the position.  Just don't feel great about this matchup at all.

Dallas Cowboys @ Washington Football Team

  • Get 'Em In
    • Terry McLaurin - The Cowboys defense cannot stop anything.  Anything at all.  They are on an historic pace to give up the most points in a season ever.  Nor do they have anyone who can keep up with McLaurin's quickness.  Regardless of who quarterbacks this Washington team.  McLaurin should find a ton of success.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Andy Dalton - Crazy how many people felt Dalton would still be a quality fantasy option.  Last week determined that was a lie.  The Cowboys offensive line is decimated.  Completely decimated.  Dalton will be lucky to come out of this game alive.  I think rookie Chase Young will wreak havoc all day long and Dallas will be looking at another long day.

Buffalo Bills @ New York Jets

  • Get 'Em In
    • John Brown - Brown has been very quiet since Week 2.  Since then, he has posted two zero point performances, and one for eight.  This week should be a get right game for the entire Bills offense though, against the pathetic Jets.  Back in Week 1 versus these same Jets, Brown caught six balls for 70 yards and a score.  That is very much obtainable again this week in the rematch.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Frank Gore/Lamical Perine - This has get right game written all over it for the Bills, and they could blow the doors off of the Jets right out of the gate.  Even in a game where game script allows the Jets to run, they can't.  Playing from behind against a Bills run defense looking to prove something after the Chiefs ran all over them, makes the Jets backs useless this week.

Carolina Panthers @ New Orleans Saints

  • Get 'Em In
    • Alvin Kamara - Everyone is allowed an easy layup sometimes.  Here is mine.  Kamara.  Monster day.  Book it.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Emmanuel Sanders - Emmanuel Sanders has been very good in the absence of Michael Thomas.  Sanders has posted fantasy outputs of 15, 15, and 24 the last three weeks.  However, Thomas SHOULD be returning to the field this Sunday which gives Sanders a massive hit to his fantasy value.  As long as Thomas plays, it's time to shuffle Sanders back to the bench.  If this status changes before now and Sunday though, keep Sanders at your ready.

Green Bay Packers @ Houston Texans

  • Get 'Em In
    • Aaron Rodgers - I would not read into Rodgers dud last week against Tampa Bay at all.  Things just got so out of hand and snowballed fast.  That won't happen this week against the Texans soft defense.  Rodgers should bounce back nicely.  Last week Houston allowed Ryan Tannehill to throw for 366 yards and four scores.  If Tannehill can do that, Rodgers can absolutely find success.  Keep Rodgers in your lineup with a ton of confidence to back it.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Robert Tonyan - I told y'all to ride the hot hand till he wasn't hot anymore.  Well, Tonyan is not hot anymore.  His hot streak came crashing back to earth last week with a three catch, 25 yard performance.  It may be a sign that a healthy Devante Adams means little output for a guy like Tonyan.  That, and he missed Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury.  Everything is adding up to just stay away.

Cleveland Browns @ Cincinatti Bengals

  • Get 'Em In
    • Baker Mayfield - You know how the cycle goes.  Baker plays bad.  Everyone says Baker is bad.  Baker gets chip on shoulder.  Baker plays a bad team and everything is right in the world for a week.  Enter the bad team.  The Bengals.  Phillip Rivers had been terrible all year until playing the Bengals last week and throwing for over 300 yards and four touchdowns.  If you have someone like Lamar Jackson and he is on his bye, Baker makes for an excellent play this week.  But, just this week because, you know, the cycle.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Joe Mixon - Mixon popped up on the injury list on Wednesday after missing practice completely with a foot injury.  Obviously things could change, but it's something to worth monitoring considering it forced him to leave the game for a period of time last Sunday.  Clearly not 100 percent, tread carefully with Mixon this week.

Detroit Lions @ Atlanta Falcons

  • Get 'Em In
    • Kenny Golladay - I am totally here for a Week 7 Kenny Golladay breakout.  Atlanta found some offensive rhythm last week, giving us hints to a potential shootout of two teams with bad defenses.  Golladay's big play ability was on display last week with an acrobatic 48 yard reception as part of his 105 yard day.  Fellow wideout Marvin Jones is banged up, potentially giving Golladay more work against a Falcon's secondary that doesn't roster anyone that can keep up with Golladay.  In a game that's shaping up to be a 42-35 back and forth air assault, I would be floored, and devastated if Golladay did not have a monster day.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Adrian Peterson - It was nice to see AP get in the endzone again last week.  But in a game the Lions actually dictated, and where they were able to run the ball, AP found himself on the sideline more often than not watching rookie De'Andre Swift explode.  I said it last week as to why I have no idea why the Lions won't just unleash Swift instead of wasting valuable experience by having Peterson run 2.6 yards every down.  AP's days continued to get numbered and he is 100 percent, touchdown dependent.

Seattle Seahawks @ Arizona Cardinals

  • Get 'Em In
    • Tyler Lockett - Lockett went into the Seattle bye week with two straight duds after three straight big weeks. Watching the little bit of the Monday night bloodbath against Dallas, any success Dallas had through the air seemed to have come from wideouts lined up in the slot.  That is a spot Lockett frequents while fellow wideout D.K. Metcalf stays on the outside.  Arizona remains a Top 10 pass defense, but I think that number is a bit of a lie between the inferior opponents they've had and some luck.  Seattle and Lockett should change their good fortune this weekend.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Kenyan Drake - Congratulations to all you fantasy players who did not quit on Drake.  He rewarded you with a 164 yard, two touchdown performance last week.  AGAINST DALLAS.  Hell, I could probably rack up 50 yards myself against Dallas.  Nobody has really found success against Seattle on the ground all year, as they have held the likes of Zeke Elliot and Todd Gurley to less than 60 yards.  If I am Drake owner, I am rushing to sell high on him fast.
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Los Angeles Chargers
  • Get 'Em In
    • Hunter Henry - Hunter Henry has been nothing if not consistent this year, averaging just shy of eight targets and ten fantasy points a game.  His last game had him hit the endzone for the first time this season too, so hopefully momentum carries over against a very susceptible Jaguars defense.  A ten point fantasy floor is all you can ask for out of the tight end position this season.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Mike Williams -Williams blew up two weeks ago for five catches, 109 yards, and two scores.  That game, however, was when Keenan Allen exited early with back spasms.  In all the games where Allen has played, Williams has a total of 15 points.  Coming off a bye, Allen should be fine which moves Williams back down the totem pole.
San Francisco 49ers @ New England Patriots
  • Get 'Em In
    • James White - I love White as a Flex option this week, and next against Buffalo.  White has continued to show his value as a PPR running back, reeling in 15 catches the past two weeks.  With New England having no real deep threat, and Newton looking really off his game last week, I expect him to turn and look White's way often.  If you're missing guys because of injuries or byes, you could do a lot worse than White.  Treat his floor as a Flex with potential to hit RB2 numbers.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Jimmy Garoppolo - I am going to keep this one simple.  No revenge game, or I'm going to show you what you gave away.  No. I think Bill eats him up.  I do.  I think Jimmy G looks awful come Sunday.  Maybe I am wrong, but I find it hard pressed that he is going to walk back into New England and ball out with the way he has looked this season.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos
  •  Get 'Em In
    • Chiefs Team Defense - It is not even Halloween, yet we are expecting our first snow game of the year in Denver this Sunday.  Forecasts are calling for steady snow to be falling all game long, and in those games they are typically low scoring and sloppy.  Then you have the Broncos offense, who cannot score, which come together for a prime Chiefs defensive day.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Jerry Jeudy - Before running into the defensive master mind of Bill Belichick, Jeudy had been putting forth a pretty solid rookie season, averaging over 10 fantasy points a game.  Then last week, he was held in check to two catches for 32 yards.  Also, it appears Tim Patrick has jumped him in the pecking order and has compiled back to back 100 yard games.  The speedster rookie will have better days ahead.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Las Vegas Raiders
  • Get 'Em In
    • Ronald Jones - RoJo has been on a roll the last three weeks.  He is averaging 20 rushes a game and has not rushed for less than 106 since Week 3.  Beyond that, he has also carved out a small role in the passing game which just further improves his fantasy value.  The Raiders are the second to worst rush defense in the league, and RoJo should keep the good times rolling whether Fournette returns or not.  Jones is arguably a Top 5 back right now.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Derek Carr - This is a tough sit because Carr has been on a roll.  You could argue his bye week hit at a bad time last week, right after he got finished hanging 350 yards on the Kansas City defense.  But my most recent memory of the Tampa defense was them dominating Aaron Rodgers.  And with that, I sit Carr.
Chicago Bears @ Los Angeles Rams
  • Get 'Em In
    • Jimmy Graham - Last week I said Graham had been following a one week good, one week bad pattern, and last week was slated to be a bad week.  Which it was.  Again, wild to start or sit a guy off of that pattern, but six weeks is a legit sample size.  Also, the Rams are not great against tight ends.  Ramsey will be on Allen Robinson all night, and their running game continues to struggle.  These things sound like Graham becomes the benefactor.
  • Get 'Em Out
    • Jared Goff - Goff is having just a really odd year.  He had really quiet outings against poor defenses like Dallas and the Giants, yet blew up against Philly and Buffalo.  He just seems so hard to trust this season.  Especially so on Monday night against the Bears top ranked defense.  There really is not much I love at all from either side of the ball in this game.
