Week 10 Fantasy Football Shark Tank

SHARE:

Before we start this week’s episode, I just want to take a minute to send some love to Corey Davis and his family and friends.  This week, he experienced a tragedy when he brother Titus passed away from cancer at age 27.  I have siblings and I cannot imagine the pain he is feeling right now after losing a brother so young.  Davis played with a very heavy heart on Thursday night and he was the Titans best receiver.  All the love and my condolences to the Davis family.

On last Week’s episode, the Shark invested in two receivers having big weeks.  Neither investment paid off, but both were very close.  Stefon Diggs tore up the Seahawks, and you were happy if you started him, but he was not the week’s best.  Antonio Brown debuted on Sunday night but was not the most production wideout on Tampa…no one truly was.  On this week’s captivating episode we will listen to two proposals featuring a former #1 running back looking for another big week and a former #1 overall draft pick on the cusp of an explosive week.

Leonard Fournette Will Have His Best Game Since Week 2

If you cannot remember who Lenny played in Week 2, let me remind you.  He took on the Carolina Panthers and went off for his most productive game since joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  In that game he saw 12 carries that he turned into 103 rushing yards and scored twice.  He was too much for the Panthers especially late.  I mean who wants to have to tackle a back like Fournette at the end of a game?  Not me that is for sure.

And who is Fournette’s Week 10 opponent?  You guessed it, he will be facing off against the Carolina Panthers and their 28th ranked defense against the run.  The Bucs are considered 5.5-point favorites, and they will be on the road.  When playing fantasy football you try your best to predict narratives and potential game flows.  This week Leonard Fournette could fit into many different game plans.

If Tom Brady goes scorched Earth because of last week’s lackluster game, Fournette could see a lot of work in the passing game and fourth quarter mop-up carries that he feasted on in Week 2.  If Bruce Arian’s decides that he wants to grind out the Panthers than Fournette could see an increase in carries.  And if it is a shootout then that is great for Lenny to produce, this game does have an over under of 50.5 total points.   Fournette has been quiet since his return from the ankle injury, Week 10 may be that return to RB 1 numbers.

Shark:

Since his return from injury, Leonard Fournette has been the running back you want on your roster the most from Tampa Bay.  Although he has been the most productive, Ronald Jones hasn’t gone away.  He scored the rushing touchdown in Week 7, fumbled in Week 8 but still started in Week 9.  There is little to believe that Jones is any better than Fournette as a player, but he is still there.  If Tom Brady throws for 3 touchdowns and none of them go to Fournette it is plausible that Jones gets the grinding carries.  Leaning Fournette is the absolute way to go.  I will invest with 55% confidence.

Jared Goff is a Top 5 QB in Week 10

The former number 1 overall draft selection, Jared Goff has the dream matchup in Week 10.  Quarterback matchups like this one can get fantasy general managers all excited for Sunday.  The Seattle Seahawks will travel South to Los Angeles for the Sunday afternoon clash.  With them they bring the 31st ranked defense against the QB position.  That is second from last in the league and they are coming off of a matchup against the Buffalo Bills, where Josh Allen destroyed them for three passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown.

Sunday’s showdown currently has an over under of 55.5 total points, which is one of the highest on the slate so fans can expect fireworks in LA.  As bad as the Seattle defense has played their offense has played that great.  Russell Wilson and company are firing on all cylinders and will want to take out frustrations from last week.  If Jared Goff and the Rams face a negative game script, then Goff will be asked to just chuck it around the gridiron and the Rams have the offensive weapons to help Goff have a big afternoon.

In Week 8 the LA Rams found themselves behind big to the Miami Dolphins and Jared Goff ended the game with 61 total pass attempts.  If he gets anything close to that against the Seattle Seahawks, he will have a monster game.  All signs are pointing to Jared Goff being a mega producer in Week 10…a Top 5 QB to be exact.

Shark:

Jared Goff has not been a good fantasy football quarterback in 2020, and head coach Sean McVay has taken a more run heavy approach so far this season.  These two key factors have resulted in Goff ranking outside the top 15 in fantasy football at the QB position.  However, you can’t go wrong betting against the Seahawks defense, and more importantly their pass defense.  Even though Stefon Diggs didn’t exact return on the proposed narrative he was still a very good play, and his QB Josh Allen smashed.  I will invest with 82% confidence.

If you roster Leonard Fournette, it would be a good idea to make sure he is in your starting lineup.  And if you need a late streamer look no further than Jared Goff.  Either player is looking a potentially big Sunday.  Until next week..
