Boston Celtics Defeat the Suns, Play the Brooklyn Nets on Friday, Dodge Bullet with James Harden Out Indefinitely

The Brooklyn Nets are sitting a half game behind the Philadelphia 76ers for the top spot in the Eastern Conference.  The Nets learned that superstar James Harden experienced a “setback” with his hamstring injury.  Harden’s setback has the shooting guard out indefinitely.

Harden has been out since April 5th when the Nets played the Knicks.  He would play only four minutes before suffering the hamstring strain.

The Nets already have Kevin Durant out with a thigh injury, but that is considered day-to-day.  With Harden out indefinitely and Durant potentially out, the Celtics could catch a huge break and steal a much needed win.

Boston played host to the Phoenix Suns at the TD Garden on Thursday night.  The Suns come to Boston with a 42-16 record and the number two seed in the Western Conference.

The C’s got a great performance from Kemba Walker, who led all scorers with 32 points.  Jayson Tatum teased fans with a second-straight triple-double, finishing with 15 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.  Tristan Thompson added nine points and had 12 rebounds.

Friday nights game in Brooklyn will be a test for the Celtics even with the Nets down key players.  Brooklyn is on a three-game losing streak going into Friday.

The Celtics will look to continue their winning ways coming off the win against the Suns.  Jaylen Brown will be questionable with a shoulder injury that appeared to hinder him Monday against the Chicago Bulls.

Boston needs to focus on getting healthy in time for the playoffs. The Celtics will look to try and steal one against the Nets on Friday night.
