SimCeltics on the Verge of a Massive Drop?

The Boston Celtics season was a train wreck bordering on a dumpster fire.  It seems that the 2020-2021 C’s season will be put out of it’s misery in a few days.  But what about the SimCeltics’ value?  What has their share price looked like? Is now a bad time to buy?  Is it a smart time to sell?  What type of movement could occur over the next few months?  Let’s dive into the chart, the movement dates, and see what comes up.

The SimCeltics’ value reached it’s 52 week high at the end of March.  It held pretty easily in the high $30’s until May.  In that time the C’s rallied to win seven out of eight games in that span.  Buzz around the team was started to grow, which made a whole lot of sense.  Boston won some big-time matchups against some tough teams.  The playoff picture was looking bright for the Celtics.  Things began to unravel for the SimCeltics share price on May 6th.

Boston went on to play to a dreadful 2-6 record in May.  One of their stars, Jaylen Brown, was ruled out for the rest of the regular season and playoffs.  And the rotten cherry on top was that Boston was going to face off against the Brooklyn Nets in the first round.  A top team in the Eastern Conference that was undefeated against the Celtics this season.  A decline in value for the SimCeltics was clearly in the near future.

Brooklyn took Games 1 & 2, and now the SimCeltics share price sits at $33.10.  Since May 6th the SImCeltics have seen about an 11% decline.  And since it’s peak the fall has reached about 15%.  Will this be the bottom for the SimCeltics?  I do not believe so.

Whenever the inevitable bouncing from the postseason becomes official the team’s buzz will be even lower than it is today.  This upcoming off season could be a horrible one for Boston.  Fans and media alike could very well be calling for Brad Stevens' job.  Questions around the team’s top talent will be at an all time high!  Are Brown and Tatum the guys to take this team to the next level?  Is GM Danny Ainge overrated?  This will not be good for this team.

I do still believe in the talent of the Boston Celtics long term.  Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are supremely talented.  The time to jump into some SimCeltics will present itself in the middle of the off season.  Celtics executives will more than likely try to add good players to try and climb the Eastern Conference.  The share price could climb to new highs in the 2021-2022 season.  If you have ownership, you can ride the wave or sell now.  Either way I think you’ll want some SimCeltics shares a year from now.
